The University of Michigan's schools of Business and Medicine collaborate to offer a management program for healthcare leaders in six two-day modules that make it easier for clinicians and senior administrators to fit into busy work schedules.
Each module requires only a two-day commitment, making it easier for busy physicians and healthcare professionals to fit into their schedules. You can take just one program to shore up or gain competency in a specific area, or all six modules for complete exposure to the critical issues of healthcare management and leadership, or any combination in between. Each module consists of a presentation of the theoretical framework of the topic, specific examples, and a participant workshop. All of the modules have supplemental reading which may include case studies, white papers or surveys.
The modules cover MBA-level material designed specifically for physicians and other healthcare professionals, delivering concentrated learning in a
rapid-pace environment. This comprehensive management program, developed and presented by the Stephen M. Ross School of Business and the University of Michigan Medical School, is uniquely designed for managing healthcare organizations. Led by Michigan's world-class business and medical school faculty, best practices in both worlds are merged into a series of two-day seminars that will show you how to:
- Build successful coalitions of clinicians, administrators, and staff
- Increase organizational throughput
- Align the incentives of all the stakeholders
- Manage and create value across silos
- Recognize strategic opportunities
- Understand your customers
- Lead change
