Who Should Attend Management of Managers

Requiring a significant time and energy commitment, the intensive, introspective Management of Managers program is designed for managers who are serious about advancing their leadership role and adding value to their organization. The program is most beneficial for mid- or senior-level managers who are responsible for directing the daily operations of an organizational unit, or whose success depends upon working with other managers or a professional staff.

Learning Objectives

Effective leaders need multiple skills to allow for flexibility in successfully managing and leading in diverse situations. The week-long Management of Managers program provides an integrated leadership framework that will enable you to identify and formulate value-creating opportunities as you develop an understanding of the interplay between your leadership competencies and your organization's culture and strategy.

Starting with a focused day and evening on Day One, you will spend a full week totally immersed in leadership issues and examination of your own leadership approach. At the end of the week, you will understand the challenges of leadership on three levels: individual effectiveness; organizational culture; and organizational outcomes.

Unique Features

This program is designed as a one-week "sabbatical," providing a unique opportunity to reflect on your own leadership approach, understand how others perceive you, and become aware of other leadership styles and how to work with them to achieve organizational goals.

As part of this process, you will complete our 360 assessment Best-Self Feedback before your arrival, which will provide insight into your leadership values and effectiveness, and form the basis for the personalized action plan you will develop during the program.

Post-Program Follow-up

Participants will have an opportunity to participate in a facilitated discussion on the progress of their personal action agendas. Opportunities for individual consultation with the program faculty regarding your Best-Self Feedback exercise are also available.
