The premise of the Management of Managers program is that effective leaders need multiple skills to allow for flexibility in successfully managing and leading in diverse situations. Effective leaders understand the subtleties of personal interaction, the competing tensions within organizations and how these relationships directly impact the performance objectives of their organization.
Using the unique and powerful Michigan "Competing Values Model," this five-day course provides a conceptual framework for evaluating your managerial skills and the role you play within and across the organization. Through examining the different "lens" within the framework of:
- Hierarchy (process and controls),
- Clan (people management and collaboration),
- Adhocracy (Creativity and strategic innovation) and
- Market (Customer focus and results)
You build personal capability to achieve a broader perspective and effectively manage and influence those around you to successfully address organizational challenges. |
